Actress Raviraa Bhardwaj talks about her working equation with Sharib Hashmi!
Actress Raviraa Bhardwaj, who is known for her work in the show Aukaat Se Zyada is excited to share screen with the talented Sharib Hashmi of Family Man fame. Sharing details of her new project with him, Raviraa says,” I am working with Sharib Hashmi in two projects. One in a music video called ‘Breakup Ki Party’ for BigBat Music and a web series titled ‘Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar’ for Zee5. The experience has been an absolute pleasure. He is one of the sweetest and most down-to-earth people I’ve met. Despite being such an experienced actor, he remains incredibly humble, supportive, and always willing to share his insights. What stands out the most is his positive energy and how effortlessly he creates a comfortable environment on set. There’s so much to learn from his craft—his dedication, timing, and the depth he brings to his performances. He’s a true team player who makes working together not only productive but also enjoyable. I’m grateful for the opportunity!”
Raviraa is a big fan of Sharib’s work and her favourite work of him is the Family Man. She says,”What makes him stand out is his ability to portray deeply relatable and realistic characters with such authenticity that viewers instantly connect with his roles. OTT actors like Sharib bring a unique blend of natural acting and versatility. Unlike traditional TV or film actors, OTT actors often work in stories that explore complex, layered narratives. The format allows for more nuanced characters and detailed story arcs, enabling actors to dive deeper into their roles. In TV, the focus is usually on long-running, dramatic arcs tailored for mass appeal, while films aim for larger-than-life experiences within limited screen time. In contrast, OTT platforms emphasize realistic storytelling, making characters more grounded, relatable, and human.”
Raviraa adds,”I do take a keen interest in knowing who is cast opposite me. Acting is all about chemistry, and working closely with someone means learning a lot from their craft, energy, and approach to the character. It helps build a better connection, making scenes more authentic and emotionally engaging. Since we first collaborated on a music video, we already had a great rapport by the time we started shooting for the web series. That existing comfort made the entire process much smoother and more enjoyable. It’s always exciting to work alongside someone who inspires you to bring your best to the screen.”
Raviraa feels working with like minded people always helps extract good quality work. She says,”Working with like-minded people is incredibly important as an actor because filmmaking is a collaborative process. When you’re surrounded by people who share the same passion, creativity, and commitment, it creates a synergy where everyone pushes each other to do better. It’s like feeding off each other’s energy, which reflects beautifully on screen. It allows room for open discussions, improvisation, and learning from one another. The trust built on set helps create authentic performances because you feel safe exploring your character without judgment.“
When asked what kind of roles she will be aiming for in future Ravira shares,”I would love to explore a variety of projects that challenge me as an actor and allow me to showcase different shades of my personality. Period dramas, intense thrillers, emotionally complex characters, and lighthearted rom-coms are definitely on my wishlist. I’m also fascinated by stories with strong female leads, real-life biopics, and socially impactful narratives that leave a lasting impression on the audience. For me, this industry is a marathon, not a sprint. I believe in growing steadily, learning with each project, and evolving as an artist over time.“
