PAANI TEASER LAUNCHED WITH GANPATI BAPPA'S BLESSINGS
Addinath M Kothare's first look out too!
Inspired by the real life story of Hanumant Kendre, who is known for his work in transforming water conservation in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, the upcoming Marathi film Paani is all set to release in cinemas on October 18.
Paani is a combined presentation by Rajshri Entertainment, Purple Pebble Pictures and Kothare Vision Pvt Ltd, and its new poster, featuring Addinath M Kothare's look was recently unveiled on social media. The film's team was spotted seeking Ganpati Bappa's blessings at the famous Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai as they also launched the teaser of Paani amidst the Ganeshotsav celebrations. It is evident from the audience reactions that Addinath's first look poster and the teaser have peaked the curiosity around the film and Hanumant Kendre's life.
Directed by Addinath M Kothare, the film will see him essaying the role of Hanumant Kendre too. Paani also features Rucha Vaidya, Subodh Bhave, Rajit Kapur, Kishore Kadam, Nitin Dixit, Sachin Goswami, Mohanabai, Shripad Joshi and Vikas Pandurang Patil in prominent roles.
The story of Paani has been written by Nitin Dixit and Addinath M Kothare, while Neha Barjatya, the late Rajat Barjatya, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Dr Madhu Chopra have produced the film. Mahesh Kothare and Siddharth Chopra are the associate producers on the project.
The film has its foundation in the water crisis of Marathwada. It explores how many people migrate from the villages in the region citing the crisis, but Hanumant Kendre stays back to help solve the problem. It isn't an easy journey for him. In fact, even his prospects of marriage suffer due to the water crisis. The audience will get to see this journey onscreen soon. While the teaser gives a glimpse of a romantic story, does this romance blossom? Does the water crisis in Hanumant Kendre's village get solved? These questions will be answered through the film soon.
Speaking about Paani, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, founder and promoter of Purple Pebble Pictures, said, "Through Purple Pebble Pictures, we want to bring stories that need to be heard and stories that bring focus on pressing concerns, and our film 'Paani' embodies everything that we believe in. And what could be a better beginning for the film than having its teaser launched at Mumbai's famous Lalbaugcha Raja. I am super thrilled, and can't wait for the people to watch it.“
