Jamai No. 1 - Riddhi Saves Neel

In today’s episode, Riddhi notices Neel in a potentially dangerous situation and acts quickly to save him from receiving a severe electric shock. Using a wooden stick, she manages to prevent the accident, but in the process, Neel loses consciousness and collapses. Concerned for his wellbeing, Riddhi tries to help him regain consciousness but to no avail.  

Meanwhile, Neel’s close friend decides to visit him at the office, unaware of what has just happened. When he arrives, he is shocked to see Neel’s condition. The sight of his unconscious friend deeply unsettles him, and he demands answers. However, Kanchan, the office manager, intervenes and orders the security guards to remove him from the premises. Feeling helpless and angered by Kanchan’s treatment, Neel’s friend decides to call Neel’s mother to inform her about the dire situation, hoping she can help.  

Eventually, Neel regains consciousness and, upon waking up, immediately confides in Riddhi. He tells her that he has made up his mind to quit his job, feeling that the work environment is no longer safe for him. He then shares a shocking revelation, accusing Kanchan of attempting to harm him intentionally. Riddhi, however, defends Kanchan, suggesting that there might be another explanation for what happened, which only adds to Neel's frustration and confusion.  

Later, Neel steps outside the office and unexpectedly runs into his nani (grandmother). The two sit down together for a cup of tea, sharing a rare moment of calm amidst the chaos. During their conversation, Neel apologizes to her, admitting that he cannot continue working at the job. Nani listens empathetically and, to Neel’s surprise, apologizes to him as well. She reveals that she had certain hopes when she got him this job.  

Curious, Neel presses her to explain what she means. Nani hesitates at first but eventually admits her true intention: she had hoped that through this job, Neel would develop a close relationship with Riddhi, and eventually, the two would get married. Neel is stunned by this revelation, realizing for the first time that nani orchestrated the job opportunity with Riddhi’s future in mind.  

The unexpected confession leaves Neel speechless, as he begins to process the complex web of expectations and relationships that have brought him to this moment.
